Meet the Maker

I'm Erin, the designer and milliner behind Madog hats. I was brought up surrounded by the mountains of Ffestiniog in north Wales, and am now based in Cardiff where I make hats and headpieces.

With a background in designing costumes for the stage, I decided to focus more on headwear whilst on tour with a show in rural Brittany. I moved to Japan for six months, where ideas and designs began to develop, and in 2017 Madog Millinery was born.

Many of the styles are inspired by time living abroad; the landscapes and mountains, roadtrips, exploring woodlands, and campfires on beaches. They are made with a sense of adventure in mind.
